You’ve added contacts to SlickText, perhaps organized them into lists, and maybe even created some segments. Now you’re ready to start sending mass text messages. SlickText allows you to send messages to all of your contacts at once or to subsets of your contacts. You can send text-only messages, include emojis, add images or video, or send trackable links. You have the option to send your message now, schedule it for later, or make it recurring.
Note:
Contacts must be subscribed to receive mass text messages.

To send a message to your audience, you create a campaign.
1. Login into SlickText and click on Campaigns on the left navigation bar.2. This will take you to the Campaigns page which is a list of all of your campaigns. Here you can view information about your previously sent, saved, and scheduled campaigns.
Note:
If you plan to send a message out that is similar to a previous campaign, you can clone that campaign and edit it before you send.
3. Click the blue Create Campaign button in the top right.
4. Name your campaign. This is an internal name that won’t be seen by a customer. Choose something that will help you identify the campaign later on the Campaigns page.
5. Choose your audience. This is who will receive your message. Choose either all contacts, or select one or more lists and/or segments.
6. Write your message. You can include emojis to make your messages more fun. You can add trackable links, images, and other attachments to create a really engaging message.
7. You can preview your message as you type it in the Campaign Preview on the right side of the screen.
8. Before you send your campaign to the full audience, you can test it. To do this, click on the beaker icon at the bottom right of your message. The test will only go to the number you choose.
9. Choose when to send your message. Later in this article we’ll explain scheduling messages for later or making them recurring. For now, we’ll choose Now, which is the default.
10. Click the blue Review button in the lower right corner of the page.
11. Review details about your campaign.
- Audience: You’ll see the audience details, including how many contacts will receive the message.
- Timing: When the message will be delivered.
- Message Credit Summary: View how many message credits are required to send your campaign. In some cases, like when you are including a merge tag, this is an estimate, as we may not know exactly how many characters will be in your message.
Note:
If you do not have enough message credits to send your campaign, you can upgrade your plan or buy more messages.
12. When you’re ready to send your message, click the blue Send Now button in the lower right corner of the page. You’ll have 3 seconds to change your mind before the messages start sending.
13. At any point, you can save your campaign as a draft.
14. Your campaign, whether saved or sent, will now be on the Campaigns page.
Note:
Clicked send but changed your mind too late to stop it? Go to the Campaigns page. If the message is still in progress, you can still stop it. This won’t recall any messages, but it could prevent some of your audience from receiving them.
Schedule a Message Campaign to Send at a Later Date or Time
You can create a message campaign and schedule it to send at a later date.
