Whether you’re promoting a product or service, communicating with your staff, or any number of other text message use cases, texting is arguably the best way to engage with your audience. People read almost all of their text messages, typically within minutes of receiving them. Take advantage of that opportunity by sending more engaging messages. One way to send more engaging messages is to add images or other content to your text.
This article will focus on adding various types of attachments to your messages, such as images or video.
Note:
Before sending a message, you will need an audience to send it to. Check out Importing Contacts in Bulk or Creating them One at a Time.

What to Know About MMS
MMS stands for Multimedia Messaging Service. Typical text-only messages are sent using Short Messaging Service, or SMS. MMS is a way to send multimedia content such as images and video.
MMS and SMS differ in another important way. An SMS message consumes 1 message credit for up to 160 characters. (SMS messages longer than 160 characters consume additional credits.) MMS messages consume 3 message credits, but you can include up to 1,600 characters. Learn more about message credits here.

Adding Images, Video, and Other Attachment Types to Your Messages
You can add attachments to the text messages you send to your audience, including images, videos, documents, and vCards. While attachments consume more messaging credits, they can be worth it with the level of engagement you get from your audience.
- Follow the instructions to create and send a campaign.
- When crafting your message, click the Paperclip icon at the bottom of the message field. Browse your computer for the file you want to attach, select it, and click Open. Or, you can drag and drop a file directly into the message field. A message can contain only one attachment at a time.
- When your message is ready, click the Review button in the lower right corner. You’ll notice that attachments consume more message credits.
- Send or Save like you normally would.
