A brand in SlickText is the environment in which users manage contacts, send messages, view analytics, build workflows, and use the other messaging related functionality in the platform. SlickText accounts have at least one brand, and most accounts will only need one brand. If you have multiple brands, each brand will have its own sending number, contacts, analytics, workflows, audience growth tools, and message credit allotment.
Account owners and users with User Management permissions can grant users unique access permissions for each brand within a SlickText account.
Note:
While accounts can have more than one brand, functionality and contacts are not shared across brands. This includes subscription status. For example, a contact opting out of receiving messages from one brand is not opted out out of another brand, even if the brands are associated with the same account.

Allocating Messages Between Brands
Before We Begin
Accounts and Brands are separate components of your SlickText account, and it's useful to know the differences.
Term |
Definition |
Account |
An account is the top level of access for SlickText. It is where users manage billing, brands, message credit allocation for brands, and additional users. Users can have access to multiple accounts. Only users with account-level access will be able to view and manage an account. |
Brand |
A brand is an environment within an account where users manage audiences of contacts, send messages, view analytics, build workflows, and utilize various audience growth tools. All brands have their own sending number, contacts, analytics, workflows, audience growth tools, and message credit allotment. Users can have access to multiple brands, and user permissions for each brand can be customized for each user. |
Creating an Additional Brand
In some cases it may make sense for accounts to create and manage more than one brand. You must be an account owner to create additional brands.
- Contact your SlickText representative or SlickText Support.
- SlickText will ensure your account is set up for additional brands. There may be a cost associated with additional brands.
- Once your account is set up for multiple brands, click this link to navigate to the Accounts page.
- Click the 3-dots on the account card, then click Create Brand. If you do not see an option to create a brand, contact Support.
- Set up the new brand and sending number.
Navigating Between Brands
When logging into SlickText, users with access to only one brand will be directed to the Home page for that brand. Users with access to multiple brands will be directed to the Brands page, which lists all brands in which the user has access.
To navigate to a brand from the Brands page:
- Click on Brands in the left hand navigation menu.
- Click on the brand to launch it.
To navigate from one brand to another:
- Click on your name in the lower left hand corner.
- Click on Switch Brand This will bring you to the Brands page.
- Click on the name of another brand to launch the brand.
Note:
The “Switch Brand” option is only available if the account has more than one brand.
Allocating Messages Between Brands
Account admins have the ability to allocate message credits between brands. By default, all brands have access to all credits that have been purchased for the account.
To limit the amount of message credits for a brand:
- Navigate to the Brands page following one of the paths described above.
- Click on the three dots to the right of the brand.
- Select Set Message Credit Limit.
- Limit the brand allocation using either a fixed value or a percentage of the overall account credit allotment. Notice that the Message Credits change as you adjust the slider.
- Click Save.
Note:
Setting the credit limit of one brand does not affect the limit of other brands. For example, all brands within an account can have a message credit limit set at 100%. This means that they all can use up to 100% of all the message credits available to the account.
