Enabling UTM parameters for your brand in SlickText allows you to track the performance of messages that contain links. When someone clicks on a link with UTM parameters, the data can be tracked by a UTM tracking tool (like Google Analytics).

Before We Begin
Tracking UTM requires you to have a UTM tracking tool (like Google Analytics) to track the source of your website’s traffic. Also note that SlickText only adds UTM tracking to links you track and manage in SlickText.
Enabling UTM Parameters
To Enable UTM Parameters for your brand in SlickText:
- From the Home page, click on your name in the bottom left corner and choose Settings.
- Choose UTM Parameters.
- Switch the Radio Button to ON and click Save.
Editing UTM Parameters
SlickText links utilize up to four UTM parameters based on the message type. All four of the parameters can be customized.
Note:
Any changes will only apply to links you create after the changes are saved.
UTM Source: This parameter tracks the source of your traffic. It's where your visitors are coming from. The value will always be SlickText unless you replace it with a custom value and will not change based on the message type.
UTM Medium: This parameter tracks what you used to send your traffic. The value is auto-generated based on the message type, unless you provide a static value:
Message Type |
Default Value |

UTM Campaign: This parameter is the name of the campaign, workflow, or other tool that sent your traffic. The value is auto-generated based on the message type, unless you provide a static value:

UTM ID: This parameter is the unique ID of the campaign, workflow, or other tool that sent your traffic. The value is auto-generated unless you provide a static value.
Note:
Links sent in Inbox messages will only include the UTM ID and UTM Source.
