Understanding Carrier Fees

Most cellular carriers charge a small additional per-message fee to send texts on their networks. These fees vary based on the type of number you’re sending from, what country you’re sending in, and whether a message is an SMS or MMS message. SlickText passes these fees through to you at no additional markup.

Because you send to many different carriers  and each carrier's fee is slightly different, we use a blended model for charging these fees. This model keeps the fee structure simple and allows you to calculate your fees without having to account for each individual carrier.

Cost per text message:

SlickText charges in arrears for carrier fees. Your initial payment won't have fees associated with it as you haven’t sent any messages yet. Before your renewal, we’ll look back at the number of messages you sent during your period and use the table to calculate your carrier fees.  

For example, if your account uses a toll-free number and you send 400 SMS messages, your total carrier fees would be $1 (400 SMS X $.0025 = $1).
