Configure and Manage Your Ecommerce Settings

Ecommerce settings control how SlickText handles abandoned website sessions and how revenue is attributed for ecommerce purchases.

To navigate to Ecommerce settings:

  1. Click on your name or avatar at the bottom left-hand corner of the screen.
  2. Click Settings.
  3. Click Ecommerce.

Time to Website Abandonment

This determines how long a visitor can remain inactive on your site before their session is marked as abandoned. Activity includes actions such as:

  • Viewing another page

  • Adding or removing items from the cart

  • Starting checkout

If no activity occurs within the set timeframe, the session is considered abandoned and can trigger a workflow. For example, if this is set to 60 minutes, the visitor must be inactive for a full hour before SlickText records an abandonment. Any new activity during that window resets the timer.

Website Abandonment Cooldown Time

This setting prevents multiple abandonments from being triggered too frequently for the same visitor. It defines how much time must pass after a session is marked abandoned (or after a purchase) before SlickText will record another abandonment.

For example, if you set the cooldown to 24 hours, SlickText will not trigger another abandonment for at least 24-hours. A visitor will have to engage with your website after the cooldown period before being eligible for another abandonment.

Revenue Attribution

Brands that track orders in SlickText through an integration or the API can view revenue data in SlickText. SlickText attributes revenue to campaigns or workflows when contacts make purchases on your website after engaging with your messages. You can define how attribution works for your brand. You can select first touch vs last touch attribution and determine the message attribution window.
