Configure General Settings

Settings are the options and features for adjusting the functionality of the platform to fit your needs. You must be an account administrator to make changes to general settings. Settings are brand specific, which means you can treat multiple brands differently.

To change general settings:

  1. Click on your name at the bottom left hand corner of the screen. If the left navigation menu is minimized, you won’t see your name and will click on your avatar or initials.
  2. Click Settings.
  3. Click General Settings.
  4. Click Save after making any changes.

Message Prefix

Set the toggle to the on position to add your brand name or another word or phrase of your choosing to the start of every message that is sent out via campaigns, workflows, and auto-response messages. This will only apply to messages created after enabling. Messages drafted prior to enabling message prefixing will not be updated. Specifically, workflow messages, campaign drafts, or scheduled campaigns will not contain the message prefix.

Bad Number Deletion

Set the toggle to the on position to allow SlickText to automatically delete contacts who are unreachable. After enabling, define the number of consecutive failures that must occur before the contact is deleted.

Note:

The defined number of failures must happen within a 180-day window before the contact is deleted.

Messaging

You can edit the default auto-response messages that are sent from SlickText:

  • Opt-In Message — This is the message people receive after they have successfully subscribed. You can edit this message here, and you can override this message for each specific opt-in method. For example, you can choose to send a different message if people opt-in from a website popup versus text-to-join.
  • Double Opt-In Message — This is the message people will receive asking them to reply YES to confirm they want to opt-in. This message will be sent for opt-in methods that require a double opt-in. You can override this message for each specific opt-in method.
  • Opt-In Exists Message — This is the message people will receive if they attempt to subscribe but they are already a subscribed contact.
  • Re-Opt-In Message — This is the message people will receive when they opt-in after having previously subscribed and opted-out.
